Nearly everyone swear outs, in one form or another. Many people see escape as a tedious and unfulfilling exercise. Perhaps even as a prerequisite evil that must be tolerated in order to attract a paycheck. Christians may even feel that they are expend their time and talents in a job that does not take care to fit the calling God has placed on their lives. Whats worse is that a Christian may feel he or she cannot serve God at work without beseeming a pastor or a small sort out leader or filling some other full(a) time ministry position. Does work have greater meaning or purpose for Christians? This paper explores the answers to some key inquiries into the theology of work, as well as, discerning whether work is a creational blessing and law or a curse and the result of the Fall of man.

Work as depicted in the Bible, is holy and prescribed by God from the beginning of creation. As man was created in the image of God, work allows man to share in His nature. Work is very very much a part of mans existence on earth, therefore work is active participation in the originative work of God. Work allows man to build relationships and to benefit others.
