Reading the article Confronting Physician-Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia: My Fathers Death (published in Hastings Center Report, in October of 2008) which duologue about the death of Susan Wolfs father, and the trials and tribulations that her father and family went through and through during his last days of manner; for me was a flashback to only a few short months ago when I lost my grandmother, in a similar way. How do you know when you should decide to nullify all means to save whizs life? How do you know when to choose to stop all procedures for yourself? Is it virtuously wrong to want to end your life when all you shake left to look forward to is pain, tubes, shots, and needles? Is your choice actually ratiocination your life, or extracting your death? These are personal, religious, and expensive decisions that cardinal ask to make either for themselves of for a loved one.
What is considered unethical when one is choosing to deliberately end the life of a loved one or oneself? Should it be considered unethical to go through with peculiar means to contain a life or prolong ones death through life support, feeding tubes, or respiratory support? In so many ways it is as unethical to prolong ones death and have that person go through the pain and discomposure of their departure, as it is to kill someone, nevertheless to what extent?
