The Crayoletian civilization lived in Southern Asia around 2100 B.C. They had no underlying king ruling their large empire. Instead, there were as legion(predicate) as twenty separate areas similar to ancient Asiatic city-states. Since groundwater was so scarce, they had to build large underground reservoirs to hive away rainwater. They grew an abundance of crops such as water bamboo, rice, and wheat.

They were also skilled weavers and potters. The art they created honored their leaders, gods, and their daily life. They had no form of currency; instead, they traded goods. They cleared routes through jungles and swamps to create trade routes. This allowed them to sell and trade the goods they had for goods they needed.
