John Mayers Battle Studies album was released in 2009. Consisting of or so of his lesser-known musical pieces, the album is a collection of smooth mushy rock grooves. Though certain tracks pick up in tempo e precise so slightly, the album is never very fast paced at any point. John Mayer creation a solo artist means that he will evermore have the vocal melody. The instrumental melody more time than not is played out by the guitar, whether it be acoustic or electric.
